Had a lovely Mother’s Day brunch ! The smoked salmon crepes were delicious and the home fries excellent. Enjoyed some interesting cocktails. Also had very enjoyable piano music and a wonderful pianist adding to the ambience.

Wow!! Blue Ruin was a participant in The Taste of Cambridge this past weekend. They had our vote for best crab cake and Maryland style crab soup. Excellent!! Decided to have dinner tonight and they did not disappoint. Started off with a Long Wharf Punch, and the crab and corn fritters. This appetizer comes with 5 good size fritters and the dipping sauce had the right amount of spice. For our entree, we ordered the Chesapeake Gumbo. This was perfection in a bowl!! Loaded with chicken, sausage, shrimp, and veggies. The gravy... oh the gravy!!! Service and atmosphere were excellent and we will visit again!

Had a great time here w the team at Blue Ruin. Drinks were delicious, food were fantastic. Had a Blue Ruin cocktail and a Cosmo. Both had good balance of sweet and strength. They also have along list of whisky & bourbon available. Best dish of the evening was the cold tortellini salad. Cooked perfectly, the tortellini were coated with the right amount of seasoning for a summer dinner... Light and luscious... Could eat another bowl of it. It's a popular spot. Do check them out.

We were in the area and gave Blue Ruin a try. We're very glad we did! The Maryland crab soup was exquisite and the crab cake was delicious and exactly as pictured on their website. Everything arrived hot, and the pace of our meal was perfect, choreographed by our friendly, knowledgeable and professional server. We'll be visiting Blue Ruin every time we're in the Cambridge area.

Came here on Sunday for brunch, when we first entered the building it was kinda odd there were no signs or directions. We stood there till someone helped us. We got to our table and the waiter talked about the menu and made some suggestions and we ordered. Everything we received was delicious. We ordered the banana bread which was baked very well and had a great banana flavor through out. It was served with fruit and almost French toast like. We also tired the biscuit and gravy, this was so flavourful the biscuit was crumbly and fresh. It came with home fries that are seasoned exceptionally and they had onions and peppers as well, so good. Lastly we ordered the Falafel, the pita was toasted and had a nice seasoning on it. The falafel cooked perfectly not greasy at all, the pickiled onions and cucumbers were a great touch and they dressed it with just the right amount of tzatziki. Everything we got we really enjoyed. The service was great, we enjoyed the atmosphere, and loved the live pianist that was playing. Overall Blue Ruin offers a outstanding experience, they offer an extensive food and drink menu and provide great and fast service with a beautiful atmosphere. We will definitely be back.

Ate and drank at Blue Ruin speakeasy Friday. What a great place! Historic building in Cambridge, MD, serving a HUGE selection of whiskies. Awesome drinks at very reasonable prices. The bartenders really seem knowledgeable about the drinks they make .They have the biggest selection of whisky/bourbon cocktails I have seen! If you are in Cambridge, check this place out. 10 min from the Hyatt Regency.(in fact the bellhop recommended the place) I will definitely go back to this place.

Amazing food. Amazing atmosphere. We got several of the cocktails - so many different things to choose from. The crab cake sliders on a salted pretzel roll and the sirloin steak...both delicious. The chocolate cream dessert had a sprinkle of salty sweet on top, again so good. The romaine salad was different - literally a head of romaine not chopped but it tasted great - dressing was tangy. Lots of lump crab meat in the Maryland crab soup. We will definitely be back. Everything we tried was on point.
